BATTLE OF THE BANDS and Other News

I have never seen Battle of the Bands before, so I'm really excited for this. I can't wait to hear all the different bands. I think that it's going to be so awesome.
I signed up for the Day of Silence the other day. I wonder if I can actually stay quiet. I also thought that it would be something new and interesting to try.
Soccer season starts really soon for me. My first game is this Saturday and I'm uber excited. I'm ready to play.
The warm weather went away and it started snowing again. I really thought that all that cold weather was done. One of my soccer practices got canceled because of it.
The most exciting news of the week: one of my friends just got out of juvi last week. I can't wait to see him again.

Sun + Warm Weather = SOCCER!!!!!

Yeah!!!! We're finally having some summer weather. It's been so nice outside and now I'm ready to play soccer. I've already had my first soccer practice and it was awesome. My next practice is tonight and I can't wait. This might be my last season playing soccer, so I want to make the most of it. I'm ready to play my first game. It's going to be great to finally kick some major soccer butt again. I love the fun that comes with playing soccer. Not to mention, running on the field with the ball is like the greatest feeling in the world.

One Act

I finally finished it! My one act is completely done. This one act is going to actually help me in two different classes. I can use it in my Practical Communications class for my portfolio and in my Creative Writing class. It was edited by both me and my peer editing group. I also got some people outside of school to read it to. My sister read it, but she didn't like it. I won't say why because that would give the whole story away. This one act was the greatest project I have ever worked on. I also don't think I've ever worked so hard on anything else in my entire life. I love to write and come up with creative stories, so maybe that's why this was so fun. Not to mention it was the easiest thing to do because I had fun with it. I wish my old school would of had a creative writing course because I probably would have liked it a lot better. But I'm glad I switched because now I have the best friends anyone could ever ask for. Now I'm getting off topic. But the one act was a lot of fun and I hope everyone else thinks so too. If you love to do something, then it doesn't seem like work. Since I want to pursue writing as a career, I might write some more plays. And I'll have Ashley K. edit them because she did such an amazing job with mine. Now I think it's ten times better than it was when I thought that I was finished. She had some really great ideas and saw errors that I didn't even know were there. There were some rules that I didn't even know about and she helped me. So if anyone is stuck or needs some help editing, I suggest you talk to Ashley K.

Writing My Very First Novel

I think I've finally finished my one act. All I need is for my peer editing group to look over it and then I can hand it in. It's like a high school romance/ murder mystery with a vampire twist. I think that a lot of our stories and movies today have vampires in them. But then again, vampires are awesome. Who doesn't love vampires? I think that I have finally discovered what I want to do with the rest of my life. I want to be a writer.
I love to write stories and everything. Plus, I'm pretty sure that UNL has a great creative writing program. If I'm not a writer, maybe I'll be a Creative Writing teacher. I would want to teach a class just like the one I'm in now. And I would want to be just like Rowse. I would want to be my students' favorite teacher. That would be so cool.
I have already started writing my very first novel. I don't know what to call it yet, but so far I have the prologue and the start of chapter one. I want it to be different than any other book I've ever read. And that's going to be hard because I've read a lot of books. (Maybe I should be a literature teacher.) Writing is my passion and I want it to be a big part of my future. One of my friends said that I'm making a difference in the world by writing a book. He said that I'm helping other people want to read or something like that. Of course he was just being funny because I don't think that I could change the course of somebody's life by writing a novel. Sure it might make them see things in a different light, but it's not like my novel is going to be some sort of self-help book.
I have already put a lot of thought into my novel and a lot of work. It takes a lot to get somewhere, so I've only got three pages, but it's a start. And all of it's based off of my imagination. None of it's from my own experiences or anything. Only one person has read it and they really like it so far. I can't wait to finish it and I would love to get it published.
Some dream, huh?

Shopping

Next weekend I'm goiong shopping in Sioux City. I really want to get some new books and cds. I think I found the perfect place to buy my prom dress. It's called Wet Seal. I'm pretty sure I've never shopped there. If anyone has, you should let me know if it's a good place to shop. I've only seen their website. I'm ready to go shopping. It's so frustrating waiting for something exciting.

Easiest Way to Earn Money

Yesterday, I went to El Mez Cal for supper. My sister picked up a bottle of hot sauce and sniffed it. She got that scrunched up look on her face afterwards. When I wasn't looking, she opened it back up and held it over my plate like she was going to poor some on. Then I turned back around and she accidently did poor some on. My mom told me that she'd give me five bucks if I ate it. I said it wasn't worth it. Then my dad said he'd give me ten bucks. I told him I'd do it. Now I have $10 in my pocket. That was the easiest money I have ever made.
